How to Complete Makasura Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To complete the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Makasura Shrine, aka An Upright Device, the first step is to go down the stairs and look forward and up. See that grate up there? Get right under it and use Ascend to get to the level above. Go to the left and get acquainted with this shrine’s main mechanic. These contraptions fall down when hit, but stand straight back up when you strike them again. We’ll call them eggs from now on. Take the grate glued to one of these eggs and make it stand up straight at the edge of the cliff. Climb up to the top, jump off and glide to the next part of the shrine. Or you can use the whole thing as a catapult to get over the chasm, but I recommend our way. It’s safer.

The next step to complete the Makasura Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is to use the second grate with the egg at the bottom and use it to get to the top of the gate on your left. Once at the top, get the grate over into the enclosure and use it to reach the platform with the chest. Drop down to the floor and fuse the egg to the grate with the bowl. Place the small ball into the bowl, then hit the egg to use it as a catapult. Climb back over the gate and bring the grate with you again. Take the grate with the bowl from the newly-opened area and fuse it to the top of the platform grate. Place the whole thing on the edge of the second chasm. Stand in the bowl and fire an arrow onto the platform below you.
