Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Dates & Locations

When is Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Release Date?

The most likely release date of the 2024 Pokemon GO Fest will be Saturday, August 23rd, 2024, and as a global event, it will probably last until Sunday, August 2024. This has not been announced officially, but I’m pretty confident in this prediction. Last year, the event took place on August 26th and 27th, which was also the weekend. The only other possible dates would be August 30th and August 31st. We’ll have to wait and see, but I’m sure it will be a weekend in late August. And I’d assume there will also be several in-person events around the world ahead of the weekend, but again, we don’t know for sure.

Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Possible Locations

At time of writing, we still don’t know which locations the aforementioned 2024 Pokemon GO Fest in-person events will take place. The best we have right now comes from this Reddit post. It mentions Tokyo, San Francisco and Rome (the real one in Italy, not Rome, Alabama). This is not set in stone, and since the original post comes from 4Chan, the veracity of the leak is spurious. We’ll be sure to update this guide with official information once it comes out. That said, the three locations mentioned do sound perfectly plausible. I’m just reticent to claim anything for certain yet.

Pokemon GO New Mythical Marshadow

The trailer for the 2024 Pokemon GO Fest teases a new Mythical Pokemon at the very end. The camera zooms to the bottom of the tree; more specifically, to a wriggling shadow. Now, while we don’t know for certain which Pokemon this is, the silhouette definitely looks a lot like Marshadow. This creature first appeared in Pokemon Sun and Moon and made a return in Sword and Shield. And now it seems you’ll be able to add Marshadow to the Pokemon GO Pokedex, too. We have yet to find out how you’ll be able to obtain it, though. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.
