What is Ghost in the Machine Challenge in Pokemon GO

The Ghost in the Machine Challenge in Pokemon GO (the Catch me if You Can one) is a special quest involving Rotom that only people participating in the Sinnoh Tour: Los Angeles event. As the Event Gameplay post says: “Rotom is causing mischief at Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Los Angeles! Work together with fellow Trainers to piece together a secret code that unlocks an encounter with Rotom. Once Trainers at Rose Bowl Stadium decipher the code, Trainers worldwide can redeem it, too!” So, we all have to wait with bated breath for the Trainers in LA to figure out what the rest of the code is, and once they do, the rest of us will be able to use it to get at that Rotom (most likely the base version, aka Electric/Ghost).

So, yeah, that’s what the Ghost in the Machine Catch me if You Can Rotom quest is about in Pokemon GO. Now, how do we know that it’s going to be Rotom (aside from the aforementioned post clearly spelling it out)? Well, the rewards give it away pretty clearly. They are 479 Stardust, 479 XP, 30 Rotom Candy and an encounter with a mysterious Pokemon. Rotom’s Pokedex number is 479. That’s as dead of a giveaway as you can possibly get, right? Not to mention that the name of the quest is Ghost in the Machine; Rotom is known for possessing machines and taking over their properties. The only thing we don’t know is which Rotom we’re going to get, but again, my money is on just the basic version.
