I did every side quest in Watson so I don’t have a save before I talked to him, I’m completely stuck and can’t progress without getting the implants (which I can’t get because he is stuck behind a gate)

I was able to fix it by simply saving and reloading my save.
I thought I needed to earn money, did a couple of side missions before reading this. Just saved where I was exited and closed game and reloaded it worked for me on PS5.

So I ended up paying the 21k to Viktor before the operation, but then after I still owe him the 21k.. If that’s the kase.. Why have an option to pay Viktor ahead of time? Glitch? Maybe?
I’m so grateful you posted this, because I honestly thought I was going crazy. Thankfully I didn’t get invested in doing side quests. Experience with new releases told me that this was likely a huge problem in need of a bugfix.
Also works to just do a manual save and restore. No progress lost.
Got the glitch too on xbox series x. At least in my case, it got fixed by just manually saving the game, closing the software and loading the save again. Hopefully, there are no other f****g glitches in that game. Already got annoyed by that watch dogs legion save game issue which caused a loss of several hours of progress. Developers should really do their work and not letting us pay for semi finished products. This is what next gen gaming has become…and it makes me sad.
Saving before you sit in chair then reloaded didn’t work for me. Got killed by cops before reaching ripper doc and it didn’t help.
It is something dev needs to fix. I will try going out and making money but you can’t leave the prolog area. It just send you back.
wanted to confirm Gentledrew’s fix, you just have to get a npc to kill you, then load from last checkpoint does infact fix the glitch. No need to backup and load a old save like the guide says.
I got this bug and thought I was going to have to start over. Luckily I was able to fix it by letting an enemy kill me and loading last checkpoint. Playing on PS5.
GentleDrew’s solution worked for me.. Initially Jackie wasn’t in Misty’s chair, after getting killed my story progressed as normal.
Just did this and can confirm that it does work. It will progress the quest into a quest called “The Ride”.
