MW3 Marksman Rifles Laser Challenge Not Tracking, Progress not Registering

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 is now live across all platforms. Unfortunately, instead of enjoying the new content, many players are battling with various bugs and other issues. From the ominous “Your Data is Corrupt” error to missing battle pass content, there were quite a few reasons for dissatisfaction.

Aside from the new bugs, the marksman rifles laser challenge glitch still hasn’t been fixed. Namely, marksman rifles laser kills are not registering for the challenge. “Working on laser kills for marksman rifles and they aren’t tracking. Can anyone else confirm,” asks Reddit user PossiblyTired. “I just need those gold challenges done to get forged for the class.” And he’s just one of many reporting about the same problem. So, is there a solution for this, can it be fixed?

For a true solution, we unfortunately have to wait for the developers to fix it. However, there is a way to bypass this issue even now. Namely, it has been confirmed that the challenge will track progress if you use the Canted Vibro-Dot 7. Adding the Canted Laser to your loadout is the only way for the marksman rifles laser challenges to track. Finally, if you know any other solution, share it with us in the comments section!
