How to Increase Pulse Cell in Lies of P

A Pulse Cell in Lies of P is used to recover your HP. Unfortunately, they have a limited number of uses before they discharge. At that point, you will need to recharge them by attacking your enemies. It is a neat and balanced mechanic, forcing players to balance the usage of its charges. However, there is a way to have more of these! What you need to do is to use Quartz for specific perks. Namely, what you need to do is to invest enough Quartz into the “P-Organ” perk. This will unlock two additional Pulse Cells very early in the game. Here’s how to do it:

  • Finish the Phase 2 P-Organ “Increase Pulse Cells 2” perk.
  • Use “Increase Pulse Cells 3” (Level 3 Survival Type upgrade) to any P-Organ perk.
  • Use “Increase Pulse Cells 4” (Level 3 Survival Type upgrade) to any P-Organ perk.
  • Use “Increase Pulse Cells 5” (Level 3 Survival Type upgrade) to any P-Organ perk.

With this method, you will increase the number of Pulse Cells to three total. However, you can have even more! There is a total of 10 Pulse Cells cap in the game. For example, when you beat the Mad Donkey boss, he will also drop a single Cell. However, with the method described above, you can max out your Cells before you approach the end-game content. Finally, if you know of any other location that drops Cells, make sure to share them with us in the comments!
