What Happens to Extra Pickaxes after Event Ends in Monopoly GO

Extra Pickaxes turn into Dice after an event ends in Pokemon GO. More specifically, from what I can tell, you get three Dice for every Pickaxe that you didn’t use during an event. Like, say, the ongoing Jungle Treasures. Other resources, like Flowers in partner events and Puzzle Pieces in their own events, turn into in-game Cash. That’s fine and dandy, but free Dice are a different thing. That’s something you always want more of. And there is a way to tilt the situation to your advantage. Basically, you want to farm Pickaxes so that they can all turn to Dice when the event ends. Let’s talk about that a little, because it does pay off.

So, considering the extra Pickaxes turn into Dice after an event ends in Monopoly GO, you want to gather as many of them as you can. Problem is, as soon as you clear the last tile, you stop getting more Pickaxes. What you want to do is leave the final tile semi-covered up to the very last day of the event. Keep collecting Pickaxes and only clear that last space just as the event is about to end. Don’t cut it too finely, lest you end up with an incomplete event. If you do it right, you’ll both get all the rewards a complete event grants you, plus a bunch of Pickaxes ready to convert into Dice. Again, it’s only three Dice per Pickaxe, so it’s probably not going to be a huge payout. Still, every little bit helps, right?
