How to Get Knotroot Wood in Caves in Lego Fortnite

Once you enter the first cave you’ll spot sturdy vines on the ceilings and walls. Unfortunately, you can’t harvest them with normal pickaxe, you need the Uncommon Forest Axe. It’s a green one, which description tells: A sturdy axe made form bone. Strong enough for chopping down trees or your enemies. And the most important thing, the ingredient that you’ll get from rooted wood is Knotroot. This resource holds the key to crafting Knotroot Rods, which unlock a path to powerful upgrades.

How to craft an Uncommon Forest Axe in LEGO Fortnite

One of the question that we received was – What special tool do I need to get Knotwood? We’ve already told you that you’ll need Uncommon Forest Axe, but there’s an entire process to make it. First, you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench to Uncommon Crafting Bench. In order to do that you need to build a Lumber Mill (requires 8 Wood and 15 Granite). Use Lumber Mill to make 8 Plank. Then head to any cave, and look for Rollers to collect Shells. Now, you can finally upgrade your bench to Uncommon Crafting Bench and make Uncommon Forest Axe.
