How to Get Nightcap Snorlax in Pokemon GO

To get the Snorlax with a nightcap in Pokemon GO, you need to unlock the corresponding Special Research. Neat, how do you do that? Well, you have to buy the Pokemon GO Plus + autocatcher. Link it with your Pokemon GO app, and you’ll unlock the Special Research. Now, since the device is launching in the US on the 14th, and the Catching Some Z’s event will take place between July 15th and 16th, that effectively region-locks the nightcap Snorlax. At the very least, European trainers can forget about catching it this time around. On the brighter side, the event page does mention that there will be more opportunities to catch the special Snorlax in the future. Besides, it’s not worth getting a fifty-dollar gadget just to obtain a Pokemon with a silly hat.

Can Nightcap Snorlax be Shiny

Yes, the Snorlax with the nightcap can be shiny in Pokemon GO. Only trouble is, considering you have to go to a whole set of Special Research just to get a chance to catch any version of the sleepy Snorlax, I highly doubt many of you will meet the shiny. Which isn’t to say you shouldn’t give it a shot if you’ve gotten the Pokemon GO Plus +, of course. Just know that your odds will be as low as with any other shiny Pokemon. Therefore, the chances of encountering special version of Nightcap Snorlax are next to non-existent. I wish you the best of luck regardless.
