Freezing Temps in Phasmophobia New Update

The way that freezing temps used to work in the game was that you could tell when the temperatures were freezing because your breath would be visible. And while this is still the case, it’s no longer a certain indicator that freezing temperatures are indeed present. This is because visible cold breath can now appear anywhere from 5-7 degrees Celsius or 41-44 degrees Fahrenheit. As such, you shouldn’t rely on breath anymore. The freezing temp occurs at or below 0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ghosts that don’t have the Freezing Temperatures effect can drop the temperature down to 1 degrees Celsius or 33.8 degrees Fahrenheit, while Ghosts that do can take this all the way down to −10 degrees Celsius or 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of this, you will want to use a Thermometer to confirm what sort of Ghost type you are dealing with. Note that the Thermometer’s range can vary with -2/+4 for both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Thermometers are now classified as starter equipment and they come in three tiers. Tier 1 is the standard old-school mercury Thermometer. And for Tier 2 and Tier 2 Thermometers, you now need to hold the Use button to get them to take an environment temperature reading.
