What Happens to Extra Shovels in Monopoly GO after Spring Treasures Event Ends

All your extra Shovels will turn into Dice Rolls after the Monopoly GO Spring Treasures event ends. So, if you have any left over, don’t worry; they won’t suddenly become completely useless. I suppose some of you might want to save them for the next event that requires Shovels, but you can’t do that. Which makes sense; for one, they’d just be clutter. But from the game design perspective, it doesn’t pay for the developers to let you keep these tokens, because if you do, then you won’t have to grind as much the next time. Which means you won’t be motivated to play as much, which means you’ll have less opportunities to spend real-life money. Call me cynical as much as you want, but you know that’s part of the reason.

But, yeah, that’s what happens to any extra Shovels you might have left over when the Monopoly GO Spring Treasures even ends – they become Dice Rolls. Which, don’t get me wrong – that is useful. Certainly better than the tokens just vanishing into thin air. Oh, and if you’re wondering what the exchange rate is, it’s three Dice Rolls fore every Shovel token. It’s not much, but hey, every Dice Roll counts. Bottom line is, one way or the other, it pays off to grind Shovels throughout the whole event.
