How to Get Shiny Spiritomb in Pokemon GO Halloween

The only way that I know of to get a Shiny Spiritomb in the Pokemon GO Halloween 2023 event is to complete the Spiritomb Limited Timed Research tasks. There are eight of them, all revolving around the number 108 in some way (because Spiritomb has 108 spirits). A few steps are actually fairly easy, though they do require some legwork. Though, of course, it’ll become easier once you know what to do. After you complete every step, you’ll get an encounter with Spiritomb, which may or may not be shiny. Yes, there’s still the usual element of RNG, so best of luck to you. Here are the tasks and their respective rewards.

  • Earn 1,080 Stardust – Encounter with Misdreavus
  • Earn 1,080 XP – Encounter with Yamask
  • Make 108 Nice Throws – Encounter with Pumpkaboo (Average)
  • Make 108 Curveball Throws – Encounter with Phantump
  • Use 108 Berries to help catch Pokemon – Encounter with Shuppet
  • Earn 10,800 XP – Encounter with Litwick
  • Spin 8 PokeStops or Gyms – Encounter with Gastly
  • Spin 10 PokeStops or Gyms – Encounter with Drifloon
  • Rewards for completing every previous step – 108 XP, 108 Stardust, encounter with Spiritomb

And there we go, that’s how you get a shiny Spiritomb in Pokemon GO during the Halloween 2023 event. Now, I don’t know if it’s repeatable, but I assume so, just so you’d have more than one go at the Spiritomb. That said, according to the official post, the second part of the Halloween event will only last until October 31st at at 8 PM local time. That means there’s precious little time to get your hands on any kind of Spiritomb, let alone a shiny one. Get to it!
