Pokemon GO Vulpix Spotlight Hour

The Pokemon GO Vulpix Spotlight Hour is going to be a fantastic chance to catch a shiny or two, but we’re going to get to that in the next section. The event will begin at 6 PM local time on August 1st and end an hour later, at 7 PM local time. In that hour, Vulpix is going to spawn more often in the wild. Naturally, you’ll also be able to enjoy the event bonus, which will be double Evolution XP this week. By the way, you need fifty Vulpix Candy to evolve it into Ninetails, so that shouldn’t be too difficult to pull off. However, do keep in mind that you can get the double XP for any evolution you perform during the Spotlight Hour.

Can Vulpix be Shiny?

Yes, Vulpix can be absolutely be be shiny in Pokemon GO, so the Spotlight Hour will be a great opportunity to grab one (or more, if you’re super-lucky), as we’ve said. Mind you, the odds are still as low as they normally are. It’s just that Vulpix will be spawning often, which basically means you’ll get to roll the dice more times. I wish you the best of luck. By the way, it’s also kinda difficult to tell the difference between a shiny and regular Vulpix, because the only difference is that the former is a dirty shade of yellow as opposed to brown. I mean, it’s not that hard once you engage with it. All I’m saying is that you should approach every Vulpix you come across just in case.
