How to Merge Overwatch 2 Accounts on Console and PC?

Starting from Overwatch 2, all players will need a battle.net account to play Overwatch 2 regardless of platform. Previously, cross-progression wasn’t available for Overwatch 1 due to the fact that it was a paid game. Now, when Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play title, the doors are wide open for cross-progression support. Starting from October 4th, you will be able to have a unified Overwatch 2 account across all platforms. This account will carry over all your Overwatch 1 unlocks and cosmetics, and it will have everything else you unlock in the future, regardless of platform. So, how do you merge your Overwatch accounts?

  • Log in to Overwatch from your console account.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to scan a QR Code on your mobile phone.
  • Enter the code displayed on your console to connect to or create your Blizzard Battle.net Account.
  • Once complete, you will be prompted to confirm your account upon the next game login to merge your accounts.

The platforms included in the account merge are Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. And, only one account per platform can be linked together. Thus, make sure to choose the correct accounts, you will not have a second chance to fix this. As Blizzard states: “It’s incredibly important to take care that the correct account from each console you plan to link is associated with your battle.net account”.
