How to start I Fought The Law

First of all, you have to progress through the story enough. I Fought The Law can only trigger once you’ve completed the Life During Wartime main story quest. You also need a certain amount of street cred – you’ll need at least 9.

Once the conditions have been met, you’ll have to sit and wait for a call from Elizabeth Peralez. She’s a new client, and she and her husband have a job for you. Once the convo is over, the quest will start.

I don’t think it depends on where (or when) you’re at, but just in case it does – we were skulking around the Sunset motel, on the highway northeast of Rancho Coronado, when the call came. It was around 10:30 PM.

The quest involves a braindance sequence, so watch out for the flashing lights. Once it’s done, you’ll get in touch with River, and the two of you will start investigating the crime. Later on, you’ll have the option to have a romance with him, but if you’re playing as female V. The other big romance option for female V is Judy, the BD specialist you’ve met earlier in the story. If you’re looking to pursue a relationship with her, check out our Judy romance guide. And if you’re playing a male V, you’ll have to make do with Panam, the nomad driver slash mechanic.

If you need help with anything else in the game, we have guides for you to check out. For example, if you don’t know how to remove the virus from the chip and find the Militech Datashard correct cack sequence we can help. Or, can you save Jackie in Cyberpunk 2077? We'll also help with your first Cyberpunk 2077 braindance during the Information quest.

Well this comment was useful. I was trying to get him to call and had to do the exact same thing in order to get Panam to call. Go to the Sunset Motel and pass time to around 10pm. Apparently the connection there is very good. I also received an overdue text from Claire there at this same moment.

I can definitely confirm that your location to get it does depend. I have been trying everything to get this quest for days. All other guides always just said about the street cred requirement and the main quest requirement. But it wasn’t until I read here to go to Sunset Motel and I went there- that I got the quest.
No clue why I didn’t get it after I was here previously, but damned happy that I finally got it now, thanks!

CP2077 has main quest issue after Panem’s main quest, you must visit Sunset motel or Main quest will be bugging out
    and can’t progress anymore.

so If you visit Sunset motel again means finishing Panem’s main quest, and it unlocks Panem’s side quest start with text
also phone call from Elizabeth Peralez
