Palworld is a new Pokemon-like game that centers around crafting, survival, and, of course, interacting with the various Pals that inhabit this world. Since a large part of enjoyment in these types of games comes from the various customization options, you will want to have as much control over your character and your Pals as you can. Which prompts the question – can you change the name of your character and Pals in Palworld? Here’s everything you need to know about how to change name in Palworld.

How to Change Pal Name in Palworld

The good news is that you can change your Pal’s name in Palworld whenever you want to. To do this, go into the Menu. From there, navigate to the Party Menu and select the Pal that you want to rename. Here, you will see that there is an edit button next to their name. Press this, and you can then input their new name. Easy and accessible, a great combo.

Can You Change Character Name?

Unfortunately, this isn’t an option. Once you start the game, you will get a message that you can’t edit your character after character creation is complete. Though, the good news here is that this is something that the devs are aware of and are planning to add in a future update. As Palworld has only recently been released in Early Access, this is something that could be added very soon, or far off in the future. Still, it’s good that we’ve got a confirmation that it’s a feature that is definitely planned. When this does get added into the game, we are going to update this article to reflect that change.
